Frederick
W. Hamilton became President of Tufts in 1905. Within two years, he was
strongly advocating for the women of Tufts to be segregated into a separate
college. In 1910, the Tufts Board of Trustees voted to form Jackson College. |

1910-1911 Tufts College Catalogue reflected the change in women's status
on campus. |

Many
male alumni were eager to give their opinions on the subject of co-education
and segregation. |
