Donating Material

Archivists will work closely with donors to identify those materials of research interest which should be preserved. If the materials fit within our collection policies we will set up an appointment to accept your donation.

Donors can call, stop by, or write to us and let us know what their materials consist of.

Monetary Appraisals for Tax Deductions

Please speak with your tax accountant or attorney about the possibility of taking a tax deduction for a donation. By law, archivists cannot give tax advice or appraise the monetary value of a collection. Upon request, we will provide donors with a list of appraisers, but it is the donor's responsibility to arrange for and pay for any appraisal.
