How to Cite from the Collections

When citing an archival collection, use the following format:

[Collection Title]. Digital Collections and Archives. Tufts University.

Example: Ruhl Bartlett, papers, 1890-1975. Digital Collections and Archives. Tufts University.

Requesting an Image from the Collections

In order to request an image from the DCA collection (available through Tufts Digital Library ), please click on the online image and note the following information for each:

  • Identifier: This alphanumeric string is a unique identifier for the image. It will generally begin with a UA or MS.
    Examples are: MS054.003.DO.03812 or UA001.009.005.00078.
  • Title: Note the title in its entirety, for example: Jumbowith football players, 1935.
